I am really enjoying your responses to the Guilty Pleasures blogs. Thank you for taking the time to read and respond. I am finding out a lot about you guys and gals! It’s hilarious. Thanks to everybody for respecting one another and the ground rules too.
This week I would like to ask for some honesty about what your favorite Guilty Pleasures are in terms of Junk Food. As a reminder, Wikipedia defines a guilty pleasure this way: “A guilty pleasure is something one considers pleasurable despite feeling guilt for enjoying it.[1] Often, the “guilt” involved is simply fear of others discovering one’s lowbrow or otherwise embarrassing tastes, rather than actual moral guilt. Fashion, music,[2] and food can be examples of guilty pleasures.[3]“
So that is what I’m after. What is your “go to” junk food that would be defined as a “guilty pleasure”?
Please respond by going to the Comment section and airing your laundry!
Ground Rules
1. This is a safe place so you can feel completely free to be honest. The more honest you are the better this will work.
2. No cracking on other peoples comments, just keep your eyes on your own back yard.
In the tradition of full disclosure, here are some of mine:
1. BBQ Grippo’s Potato Chips
2. Nutty Bars (Little Debbie)
3. Ice Cream (just about any kind – by my favorite of all time is Spouse Like A House from Handel’s)
4. Almost any kind of homemade cookie
5. Ding Dongs
6. Dorito’s
7. Chocolate Milkshakes
There you have it! It’s not hard to see that I enjoy my comfort foods! And, by the way, this list could have been much, much longer! So, let’s hear yours in the Comments section.

I am getting some amazing responses to the Guilty Pleasures blogs. So far we have looked at musical tastes & television shows. Thank you for taking the time to read and respond.
Today I would like to ask for some honesty about what your favorite Guilty Pleasures are in terms of movies. If this is your first No Regrets visit let me catch you up. Wikipedia defines a guilty pleasure this way: “A guilty pleasure is something one considers pleasurable despite feeling guilt for enjoying it.[1] Often, the “guilt” involved is simply fear of others discovering one’s lowbrow or otherwise embarrassing tastes, rather than actual moral guilt. Fashion, music,[2] and food can be examples of guilty pleasures.[3]“
So that is what I’m after. What movies do you love that would be defined as a “guilty pleasure”? Seriously, if you are channel surfing what movie will make you stop and watch every single time?
Please respond by going to the Comment section and let’s hear about the movies that you love!
Ground Rules
1. This is a safe place so you can feel completely free to be honest. The more honest you are the better this will work.
2. No cracking on other peoples comments, just keep your eyes on your own back yard.
In the tradition of full disclosure, here are some of mine (I don’t have space here to include all of them):
1. Jaws (The original summer blockbuster from 1975. I still won’t swim in the ocean because of this movie.)
2. Happy Gilmore (Adam Sandler. This movie really makes me laugh.)
3. The American President (Michael Douglas. Kim makes serious fun of me for this one. But I have to watch it if it’s on.)
4. Airplane! (“Joey, do you like movies about gladiators?”)
5. The Princess Bride (“Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.”)
6. Anchorman (“Ladies and gentlemen, can I please have your attention. I’ve just been handed an urgent and horrifying news story. I need all of you, to stop what you’re doing and listen. Cannonball!”)
There you have it! You could easily find me most any late night, down in our basement watching these movies over and over and over and over again! So, let’s hear yours in the Comments section.

I got some amazing responses to last weeks Guilty Pleasures blog about musical tastes. Thank you for taking the time to read and respond.

Ok, so it’s time for a little honesty. Let’s put it out there for all the world to see, or at least the folks who read my blog to see. I want to pose a question to you and I want to see how many people have the guts to be totally honest. PLEASE ANSWER IN THE COMMENT SECTION. Here we go.
You often hear the term in our culture “guilty pleasure.” In an admittedly Michael Scott sort of moment, Wikipedia defines guilty pleasure this way: “A guilty pleasure is something one considers pleasurable despite feeling guilt for enjoying it.[1] Often, the “guilt” involved is simply fear of others discovering one’s lowbrow or otherwise embarrassing tastes, rather than actual moral guilt. Fashion, music,[2] and food can be examples of guilty pleasures.[3]“
So that is what I’m after. What music do you listen to that would be defined as a “guilty pleasure”? I know you have one….picture yourself in the car alone and a certain song comes on the radio….you turn it up and sing with all your might hoping that nobody notices right??
So let’s have them down in the Comment section. Time to ‘fess up! I think you will probably be very, very surprised to find out that you are not alone!
Ground Rules
1. This is a safe place so you can feel completely free to be honest. The more honest you are the better this will work.
2. No cracking on other peoples comments, just keep your eyes on your own back yard.
Long ago I promised myself to never ask something of someone that I was not willing to do myself. I could lob a softball out there, like Barry Manilow, but most of you probably already know that one! So, here it goes. I actually have 3 and here they are in no particular order:
1. The Carpenters
2. Dan Fogelberg
3. Katy Perry
Now I have bared my soul. Feels oddly freeing! Let’s hear yours…..
